Friend and San Francisco based photographer Leslie Williamson is currently working on the follow up to her wildly popular book Handcrafted Modern, one of our favorite publications of the past few years. We’ve been eagerly awaiting the completion of Leslie’s second installment, featuring the homes of mid-twentieth century designers and architects in Europe, and are pleased to hear she’s in the home stretch. That said, she’ll need to wholly focus on the book for the next few months as her deadline approaches and is in need of a little help to ensure all goes smoothly. To do this, a Kickstarter fund has begun and runs for the next 33 days, ending March 14th.
The Ercol Stacking Chair was designed in 1957 by Ercol company founder Lucian Ercolani. Conveniently stacking vertically, the design was particularly popular in schools and meeting rooms around the UK. The Ercol company, founded in 1920 and specializing in handmade furniture, continues to produce these today in England. In recent years the simple style has experienced a rise in popularity having been displayed and sold in the showrooms and shops of Margaret Howell. Our selection of Ercol Stacking Chairs – in navy, black, and white – are available now and only in store in San Francisco.
