The Fall 12 collection from Tender has arrived and continues to exemplify founder William Kroll’s passion for technique and detail. This season introduces a wide range of experimentation with wattle, a brown dye extracted from accacia catechu, while maintaining Tender’s signature use of woad. As with past seasons, Tender also offers a series of playful and unique illustrations, this time drawing upon the work of William’s great aunt Natasha Kroll, who was a display, graphic, and set designer. The illustrations shown above in bandanas are from an uncompleted BBC TV adaptation of John Symonds’ The Stuffed Dog. These pieces and the rest of our selections from Tender’s new collection are now available in San Francisco and online.
