Unionmade Naturals, our latest collection of exclusives, debuts today. Grounded in simple and neutral colors, we’ve again enlisted the help of our friends and their respective brands to produce a focused capsule of pieces. This season we employed the help of past partners, such as Gitman Vintage, Merz B. Schwanen, and Filson, as well as introduced new participants, including Journal Standard, Tender Co., and illustrator Wayne Pate. The lookbook, a sampling of images shown above, was shot by Andrew Paynter and the full collection can now be viewed online and in store.

The Headlands Zip Windbreaker, the latest from our ongoing partnership with San Francisco based outerwear specialists Golden Bear, is currently available in store and online. An ideal layering piece for warmer months with cool mornings and evenings, the Headlands Zip Windbreaker is available in five colors; Wine, Khaki, OD Green, Charcoal, and Navy.

Friend and regular collaborator for Unionmade and Mill campaigns, Andrew Paynter, debuts his latest photography exhibition at Canvas in Malibu this Saturday the 18th. Be sure to stop by if in the area, the show runs for one month.

Design Director for Levi’s XX, Miles Johnson, sits down to discuss the SS13 Levi’s Made and Crafted collection. Johnson notes strong inspirations from the desert landscape for this season’s offerings and goes on to highlight some of the standards of quality that ground the brand as it continues to evolve.

A favorite new addition to the assortment, Barena, is now available in store and online. Inspired by the versatile and functional clothing worn by inhabitants of the Venetian lagoon territory, Barena reinterprets pieces found in museums, antique markets, and books. Fabrics used for each collection focus on high quality natural textiles specific to the region and are often specifically produced for the brand. Every garment is then produced in the Venetian inland.

Our friends at Sightglass recently relaunched their online presence and produced this short video documenting the day to day ongoings of their impressive operation. Be sure to check out their new website and, if in San Francisco, pop by the coffee bar and roastery to pick up their debut newsprint piece.

Recent addition to our print assortment, B magazine, is a monthly publication from Korea that focuses solely on one brand for each issue.  Examining and documenting a brand from its beginnings to current existence, the still young publication has already covered a handful of our favorites, including Penguin and Bic. Our current offering from B magazine is available now in store and online in the Bookshop.

Our friend Michael Williams of A Continuous Lean recently paid a visit to the Barbour Repair Shop, providing a look behind the scenes of an amazing service the brand extends to all customers. Michael was lucky enough to have his jacket repaired on the spot, documenting much of the step by step process. With each season Tender’s William Kroll continues to explore, experiment, and produce garments in England, using new construction techniques and natural dyes. Each buying trip we eagerly await our Tender appointment, anticipating exciting new offerings and updates. Notable new developments in the Tender assortment include the use of verdigris, a light green dye that results from copper weathering, and handmade acetate sunglasses.
