This is our first capsule inspired by the plush yarns of the Shetland isles. Working with legendary UK woolen mills Abraham Moon & Sons and Mallalieus of Delph, we created exclusive pieces with our partners Golden Bear, Harley of Scotland, New England Shirt Company, Drake’s of London, Crescent Down Works and MAKR.
As our Fall assortments continue to roll in, we are particularly excited about arrivals from; East Harbor Surplus, Barena, and Il Bisonte. Presented for your consideration, each of these brands feature the quality and magic of Italian made production. We love the color, texture, and fit of these pieces, and think you will too.
Since our opening in 2009 Golden Bear has been our most frequent collaborator. For our newest partnership we produced a collection of jackets made from a robust 32 ounce melton wool. The four silhouettes echo the best of our previous efforts and incorporate leather details, burnt corozo buttons, chambray lining, and a pop of royal blue in key spots. The result is four jackets that were produced entirely in San Francisco and can withstand even the coldest days with style to spare.
Monocle is a publication dedicated to giving its readers an insight into the diverse people, ideas, and culture that make up the world. Over the last seven years since its inception, the team at Monocle has documented numerous restaurants, shops, companies, people and places. For the first time they have compiled some of their favorites into the Monocle Guide to Better Living. As their Editor Andrew Tuck put it, “…we felt it was about time that we put all these thoughts between the linen covers of our first book.”
Just in time for the arrival of our Howlin by Morrison delivery, the Antwerp based brand specializing in traditional Scottish knitwear debuts their seasonal lookbook. Enlisting the help of California bands The Allah-las and Nick Waterhouse as modeling talent, Howlin by Morrison present a series of nicely crafted photos showcasing their impressive range of sweaters and accessories. See our full assortment in store and online.
Each season we introduce a number of exclusive product capsules exploring our latest interests, but our Unionmade Indigo collection remains an annual mainstay. This season’s collection brings back favorite past participants, introduces new partners, and expands offerings by brand and category. New to the collection are a few Japanese brands; The Superior Labor, Blue Blue Japan, and Postalco, as well as a handful of American brands; Wheel Ceramics Co., Baxter of California, Quoddy, and Kika NY. Some returning participants, such as Journal Standard and Small Trade Co., have expanded their assortments and we’ve worked to broaden the collection to include a greater variety of objects and home offerings. The full collection and accompanying lookbook, shot by Andrew Paynter, can be seen online and in SF, with edited assortments soon to arrive in Brentwood and Marin.
